FTTN/FTTB - If your router is plugged in via a cable into a telephone socket

You may also have lights on for the Ethernet icon if you have devices cabled directly into the router.
FTTP/HFC/FTTC/Fixed Wireless - If your router is plugged in via a cable to a hand-off device (the nbn / OptiComm / LBNCo 'modem' on your wall)

Power | Solid Green | The device is powered on and working properly. | |
Solid Red | The device is booting or an error has occurred. | ||
Off | Power is off. | ||

Solid Green | A proper connection to a DSL-enabled telephone line | |
Blinking Green | Blinking red turning to green light indicates the DSL port is negotiating a connection. | ||
Off | No connection to a DSL-enabled telephone line. | ||
Internet | Solid Green | Internet connection is available. | |
Blinking Green | There is internet activity. | ||
Solid Red | A PPP or DHCP failure. Check your username and password. | ||
Blinking Red/Green | Alternates between red for 1 second then green for 1 second indicate that the firmware is currently being updated. | ||
Off | No broadband connection was available, or the Internet connection attempt timed out. | ||
Wireless | Solid Green | Either of the 2.4/5 GHz wireless networks is enabled. | |
Blinking Green | There is wireless activity. | ||
Off | The wireless functionality is disabled. | ||
Ethernet | Solid Green | A device is connected to the respective LAN port | |
