I've signed up, now what?

You've signed up with MyOwn Tel and you're wondering what's next? Check out the process of connection below so you can play along at home.

  1. We will lodge your service request with the appropriate upstream carrier and create your service credentials.
    • While you're waiting, familiarise yourself with your modem/router as you will need to configure it for the service.
      • If your service comes with a modem/router, this device will be pre-configured and you can skip to step 3!
  2. Once we are advised of that your service is active we will send you an email letting you know.
    • Activation normally takes between 3-5 business days
    • In this email you will be advised of your service credentials, these may be handy later on so make sure you keep a record of them!
  3. Plug your router in and configure it with your service credentials.
    • If your service comes with a modem/router, this device will be pre-configured and you will just need to plug it in.
    • If you are configuring your BYO device and require assistance please get in touch by submitting a ticket.
      • Please include the make and model of your router.
      • Also a photo of how you have plugged it in may also assist.
