Opticomm Service Classes and what they mean

Here is a list of the Opticomm Service Classes you may encounter.

Service Class Description
Service Class 1
  • Your premises is in the footprint of the Opticomm Network
  • Additional lead-in infrastructure is still required before MyOwn Tel can order a service
Service Class 2
  • Your premises is in the footprint of the Opticomm Network
  • There is a physical connection in place, but the Opticomm box (NTD) is not installed
  • Contact Opticomm directly to organise a technician visit: https://online.telco.opticomm.com.au/
  • Notify us once completed to proceed with remote connection
Service Class 3
  • Your premises is in the footprint of the Opticomm Network
  • There is a physical connection in place and the Opticomm box (NTD) is installed and receiving mains power
  • You can order a service for remote activation
Service Class 5
  • Your premises is a New Development in the footprint of the Opticomm Network
  • There is a pre-built physical connection in place and the Opticomm box (NTD) is installed and receiving mains power
  • You can order a service for remote activation
Service Class 12
  • Your premises is in the footprint of the Opticomm Network
  • There is a physical connection in place and the Opticomm box (NTD) is installed, however, additional work is required to complete service activation
  • You can order a service and we will organise a technician visit for activation
